Heartfelt Creations: Hibiscus Layout

Today I am sharing another creation with this month’s Heartfelt Creations release, the Under the Sea collection.

If you haven’t taken a peek at this glorious tropical, ocean inspired collection, make sure you check it out HERE. The first layout that I created, was quite an involved one. So for this layout, I wanted to create with just the patterned paper in the collection.

Hibiscus Layout-1

Project Recipe:

HCDP1-266 Under the Sea Patterned Paper

HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit

1″ Circle Punch, Buttons, Letter Stickers, Ivory Burlap String, Smooch Glitz- Lime Twist and Firecracker, Adhesives- Hot Glue, Tombow Stamp Runner, 3D Foam Tape

Hibiscus Layout-2

There is a patterned paper in this collection that is a full sheet of these hibiscus flowers, I sat down and fussy cut out nearly the whole sheet of flowers and leaves. I shaped them and then layered them on my layout using hot glue and 3D foam tape. Once adhered I added the Smooch Glitz to the leaves and the middles of the flowers.

I mixed some letter stickers for the title. The teal letters are one of my favourites from October Afternoon, and the green are by JilliBean Soup.

  1. Tracy, you’ve made wonderful use of the paper collection in creating this scrapbook layout! I really like the dark blue background paper coupled with the sandy colored kraft card stock and the gorgeous hues of the hibiscus flowers!
