Heartfelt Creations: Botanic Orchid Release Day

Showy, elegant and graceful, the divine orchid flower is one that is most certainly recognizable for its unique shape and known for taking centre stage all on its own! Heartfelt Creations presents to you their newest collection…The Botanic Orchid. Overflowing with stunning floral images enveloped in soothing moss like greens, soft sky blues, creamy whites and flowery pinks, alongside rich burgundies and vibrant teals this collection is sure to appeal to any flower enthusiast. Intricate illustrations and die cuts of orchid blossoms and bouquets, accompanied by delightful hummingbirds and scripted sentiments will have you creating your very own botanical experience with hand shaped orchid flowers bringing a realistic touch to all of your paper creations! Preprinted sentiments along with those in the stamp collection are ideal for covering a wide range of occasions including weddings, friendship, sickness, encouragement and sympathies. As one of the oldest flower species in the world, this unusual blossom native to rainforests and jungles has also taken on beautiful meanings relating to each specific orchid colour including innocence, grace, joy, respect, admiration, health, happiness and passion, making this the perfect flower to convey a silent but special message for friends and loved ones on any paper creation!

This is my first creation with the STUNNING Botanic Orchid Collection.

I started with both sheets of the oval frame patterned paper. One sheet I kept as is, the other I fussy cut out the entire oval frame. Set it aside for now. Stamp and cut out 2 sets of the Botanic Orchid medium flowers and 1 set of the small flower. I used inks to add colour to my flowers. I shaped my flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit, and then added a coat of the crackle glaze to each flower. Set aside to dry. I cut out the borders at the top and bottom of my layout from another patterned paper from the collection. Adhere these pieces to the top and bottom. I then added my light pink scalloped ribbon, again to the top and bottom of the layout.

Cut a piece of the teal patterned paper that is 1” wide and adhere in the middle of the layout. Cut out the border strip that says “Memories Are Forever”. Adhere in the middle of the teal strip that you just added.

Mat your photo (4×4.5) in black and white cardstock. Then another layer of the purple patterned paper. Adhere to the middle of the oval using 3D foam tape.

Shape the oval border. I rounded some of the larger scrolls, and shaped all of the flower bits. Adhere right on top of the same image on your layout using 3D foam tape. I added the crackle glaze to each of the flowers on and around the oval. Add your larger orchids using hot glue on your oval. Using the Tombow Mono Aqua adhesive, add beads to the middle of each of the larger orchids.

Add pearls and buttons around the oval using hot glue.
