Have you seen the Botanic Orchid collection yet, from Heartfelt Creations? June’s release has been such a stunning collection to work with, so I thought I would share 1 more layout that I had created using it.
Such a pretty collection and layout deserved an equally pretty picture of Zoe from her Grade 9 Prom. This month we celebrate her graduation from Grade 12. Where does the time go?

Stamp and cut out 2 small and 1 medium Botanic Orchid flowers. Stamp and cut out 1 swirly musical hummingbird. Cut out 1 Botanic Window in white cardstock. Cut out leaves from green patterned paper. I coloured my flowers using inks and daubers. I shaped my flowers and then added a coat of clear crackle glaze. Let dry and then assemble. I added beads to the middle of each flower using liquid adhesive. I coloured my hummingbird using coloured pencils.
White cardstock is your full size background. Cut the light pink patterned paper to 11.5×11.5 and then tear around the edges. Cut the teal patterned paper to 11.5×11.5. Adhere these 3 layers together. Cut a piece of light green patterned paper that is 5.5×9 and adhere to the right hand side of the layout. Cut a piece of the striped vine patterned paper that is 2” wide, and adhere along the bottom third of the layout. Add the white mesh ribbon on top. Cut a strip of the purple patterned paper that is 4” wide and adhere to the left hand side of the layout. Cut a strip of light green patterned paper that is 1.25” wide and adhere it in the middle of the purple strip. Add a piece of the iredescent ribbon down the middle. Add the teal border strip to the far left hand side of the layout.
The top of the side border is created by taking a square journal block and cutting it in half diagonally. Then I added a piece of a floral border strip at the top. Adhere the window die cut on the side border. I created a bow using the iredescent ribbon and added it just above the window. Adhere the hummingbird inside the window using 3D foam tape. Adhere a small and medium orchid and some leaves as a cluster in the bottom right hand corner of the window.
I matted my photo in white cardstock, teal pattern, purple pattern and white cardstock again. Cut out a couple of the tag and stamp embellishments and adhere at the top of the layout. Adhere your matted photo to the layout using 3D foam tape. Add burlap string to the tag. I added another small flower and some leaves in the top right hand corner of the layout by the photo. I added some buttons around the layout. I cut the “Memories Are Forever” from a border strip and adhered it to the bottom of the layout using 3D foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out another Botanic Orchid creation.
