Heartfelt Creations: Flowering Dogwood Wedding Layout

It’s Inspiration Wednesday and I have some more Flowering Dogwood Collection beauty to share. This collection is stunning!
When I first saw this patterned paper as just images online, I knew I wanted to get my hands and scissors on this particular pattern. Lots of fussy cutting, but it was totally worth it in the end. Here is my complete tutorial.

Take both sheets of the framed patterned paper from the collection. One you will keep as is, the other you will fussy cut inside and outside the decorative frame. Set this aside for now. Adhere the 3” lace across the layout. Cut a strip of the striped wood pattern that is 1×12 and adhere across the layout in the middle of the lace. Adhere the fussy cut border frame using 3D foam tape.

Cut a piece of the pink patterned paper that is 2×8. Cut a piece of the light patterned paper that is 3×6.75. Adhere these a little to the left of the middle of the layout. Find and cut out the mini framed journal block, and the blue mini tag. Add burlap string to the mini tag and adhere near the top of the patterned pieces. Mat your photo in white, green and white cardstock again. Add white photo corners to the photo. Adhere top the layout using 3D foam tape. Add the mini journal block to the left of the matted photo, acting as a photo tab.

Stamp and die cut 2 sets of the smaller Flowering Dogwood images. Stamp and die cut one of the doves. Stamp and die cut one of the Dogwood Branches. Stamp and die cut 1 set of the large leaves and 2 sets of the small leaves. I added colour to the flowers, dove and leaves using inks and daubers. I added colour to the branches using inks and my Tombow blender.

Adhere the flowers and leaves to the layout. Using liquid adhesive I added beads to the middles of the flowers. I added a bow if the iridescent ribbon to the left of the matted photo, and the Dogwood branch up from the bow. I added the dove to the bottom left hand corner of the layout. I added Diamond Stickles to the dove. I added green Stickles to the middle of all of the flowers on the decorative frame. I added pearls around the flower clusters.
