Okay Snarky Crafters….do we have a blog hop for you!
Lots and lots of crafters have created and are hopping along with one another using one united theme….and that is SNARKINESS.
I know it’s not for everyone, but I love a funny card. These cards could be just the thing to lighten someone’s spirits. We need that these days.
Here is my take on Snarktoberfest.
Here are the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps that I used:
Other Products Used:
Stickles (Yellow, Glisten), Distress Oxide Ink (Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch), Ranger White Embossing Powder and Pad, Chameleon Pens, Blending Tool, Tim Holtz Craft Mat, Distress Paint- Picket Fence, Tattered Angels- Gold Mist, ColorBox Archival Dye Ink (Wicked Black), Cardstock (Black, White), Ribbon, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (3D Foam Squares, Crafty Foam Tape, E-Z Runner Ultra)
I started my card by creating a blended background using my blending tool and craft mat. Then I blended Black Soot over almost the whole surface. Notice how you can still see subtle hints of the colours under the black. You are well on your way to creating the night sky.
Next I added a healthy coat of the gold Glimmer Mist. These will be your small stars. Then using white paint and a bristled brush, I splattered over the whole surface again. Let dry.
I stamped all my images onto white cardstock using black dye ink. Then added colour using Chameleon Pens. I used just the crown from the Pumpkin Girl image, and I cut the gun from Rockets hand. I stamped Rocket’s hand twice, and from one fussy cut just his fingers and thumb. When layering them, I added them over the spoon image to look like he was holding it.
I added Stickles to the cupcake, and Rocket’s crown. Let dry. Fussy cut all of the images. Stamp the sentiment onto the background using white embossing powder.
Mat the blended background in black cardstock and adhere that to the 6×6 white cardstock base. I added a shimmer ribbon bow across the card front.
Add the fussy cut images to the card using foam tape and squares.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
