Creative Embellishments: January Challenge

Happy New Year crafty friends!!
With this new year comes some new and exciting crafty adventures and today I get to share my very first post with Creative Embellishments.

On the first day of each month Creative Embellishments posts a challenge, and this month’s challenge was to get inspired by the images below and use snowflakes on your project.

Here is the layout and my first project with Creative Embellishments based on the January 2019 challenge.

Creative Embellishments Products Used:

Intricate Hexagon Frame– I used texture paste to first add a little texture to the chipboard, and then used DecoArt white paint to brighten it up. Using a liquid adhesive I added chunky glitter around the inside edge of the frame. Then added a few plain Dew Drops for a little more shine.
Gorgeous Small Border Words– First I painted “radiant” white, then using the same liquid adhesive and chunky glitter I added the sparkle to the swirl ends of the word. White Christmas– I used the 2 mini snowflakes from the White Christmas set, and simply painted them white before adding them as embellishments.

Other Products Used:
Prima- Santa Baby Collection (patterned papers, flowers
DecoArt- Modelling Paste, Multi-Surface Satin Paint (White)
Chunky Glitter
Dew Drops
Foam Stencil Brush
May Arts Ribbon- 6″ Pink Tulle, Ivory Snowflake Trim
Cardstock- White, Blush
Edge Distresser
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- Dual Tip Glue Pen, Adhesive Dots Mini and Medium, E-Z Runner Ultra, Crafty Foam Tape, 3D Foam Squares

I wanted the subtle texture and bit of shine to emulate snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Stay tuned for SO much more crafty inspiration in 2019.
Happy Crafty New Year!
