Welcome back Creative Embellishments chipboard lovers! I hope the summer months are treating you well.
Today I have a little ornate beauty to share and inspire. I created this layout using a photo of our daughter’s prom from a few years back. She chose a classic vintage inspired dress, and I thought these pieces and patterned paper collection suited the photo perfectly. Here are the details.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Small Intricate Frames Treasure Border Words Oval Intricate Frame
Using white acrylic paint and a foam stencil brush I covered both of the matching intricate oval frames (large and small), and let them dry. Then using another foam stencil brush and black acrylic paint with more of a dry technique, I brought black paint in from the outer edges of the frame and faded in slightly. Leave the inside of the frames white.
Using the same black paint, I simply covered the “timeless” border word. Once dry, I snipped off the end swirly bits from the word. You’ll see in the photo below where I added one of the swirly bits on the other side of large oval frame.
I simply trimmed my photo to fit in the large oval frame, and black patterned paper to fit inside the smaller oval frame, where I also added a small die cut sentiment.
