Hello Heartfelt Creations friends!
Today is my very first layout created with the Wilderness Retreat Collection. This stunning collection is amazing in many ways, one of which was partially inspired by a collection submission from me.

Find the sunset background patterned paper. Add a strip of blue patterned paper to the bottom that is 2×12. Cut a strip of yellow patterned paper that is 3×12 and mat it in red patterned paper. Adhere this along the bottom section of the layout. Cut a strip of the brown patterned paper that is 4×12, adhere it up the left hand side of the layout. Cut a strip of the green and brown striped pattern that is 0.25×12. Tear a section about 4.75” long and adhere across the top of the brown patterned strip. Then another strip with a torn end down in the bottom right hand corner. Find and cut out the “Life is a Beautiful Thing” sentiment, then adhere it in the bottom right hand corner of the layout.

Cut 2 of the Swirly Accent from brown cardstock, and the mats for each from cream cardstock. Adhere them together using a glue pen. Mat the 4×6 photo in cream cardstock, adhere the matted accents in behind the matted photo. Adhere this piece to the middle of the brown patterned paper strip using crafty foam tape. Add buttons to the accent pieces.

Stamp and die cut 2 sets of the cat tail images using black ink onto white cardstock. Stamp and die cut 1 of each: the duck/pond, tree stump, and trees from the larger scene. All using black ink onto white cardstock.
Add colour to the images using Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush.
Colours used: Cobalt Blue, Brown, Light Grey, Deep Green, Olive Green, Mid Green, Mid Brown, Orange, Yellow

Add the pieces to either side of the matted photo using adhesive dots micro and foam squares to add dimension Add a small section of tress above the sentiment. Then I added moss pieces in and around the die cut pieces. Finally I added a few sections of brown Prills, using a liquid adhesive.

Thanks so much for stopping by and stay tuned for so much more from the Wilderness Retreat Collection.
