Hello chipboard loving friends! Today I have a layout to share that I created based on the October Creative Embellishments Challenge. I had so much fun creating with this October challenge. It definitely gave the excuse to get creepier and darker when putting my layout together. Here are the details.
Other Products Used:
Embossing Pad, Black Embossing Powder, Simple Stories- Beautiful Collection, Cardstock- Black, Dylusions Mister- Black Marble, Prima Flowers, Buttons, Black Gems, Paper Distresser, Archival Ink- Jet Black, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (Crafty Foam Tape, 3D Foam Squares, Adhesive Dots Medium, E-Z Runner Ultra)
First I sniped apart my web panel, taking off the square border and making it look more organically natural. Then I snipped the whole piece in half to be used in 2 different areas of the layout.
I covered all of my chipboard pieces in 2 layers of black embossing powder to give an ultra enamelled look.
I created a simple layered background using patterned paper and black cardstock. I cut the white floral patterned paper to the same width as the black patterned section and adhered the Ornate Half Circle to that white pattern. Fussy cut along the bottom edge of the Ornate Half Circle. Adhere to the top of the layout using foam tape. Then I added black gems.
I didn’t have a whole lot of black or grey flowers on hand. So I misted a few with a black mister and they turned out great after taking a while to dry.
I matted my photo in white floral patterned paper and white cardstock and then added it to the layout using foam tape. Then added one web piece to the left hand side of the matted photo.
I added the other web piece to the bottom of the layout. The title piece is adhered below the matted photo. Add the flowers to either side of the matted photo and at the bottom of the layout. Then I also added a few buttons around the flower clusters.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
