Creative Embellishments: Grad Layout

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a graduation inspired layout to share. With grad season right around the corner, grab those graduation shots and let’s get crafty. Here are all of the details.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:

Graduation ATC Coin
Distressed Clocks

Other Products Used:
49 & Market Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Collection (patterned paper, laser cut ephemera)
Ranger- Embossing Pad
White Embossing Powder
Embossing Glaze- Fired Brick
Emerald Creek Crafts- Midnight Magic Embossing Powder
Stampendous Embossing Dauber
Cardstock- White, Navy
Heat Gun
Paper Distresser
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- 3D Foam Squares, Thin 3D Foam Squares, E-Z Runner Ultra Dispenser, Crafty Foam Tape, Adhesive Dots Micro

Create a simple layered background for the layout using patterned paper and navy cardstock.

Start by covering the “grad” coin, and the clock pieces with white embossing powder. Snip the grad cap out of the coin, then cover that in the navy embossing powder. Use the embossing dauber to cover the outer edge of the clock pieces, then just sprinkle the navy embossing powder in little bits around the edge. I didn’t want full coverage. If you go to far with the navy, you can always come back and add a little sprinkle of white on top of that.

Use the dauber to cover the ring of the “grad” coin. Sprinkle both the embossing glaze and the navy until you get the desired effect. Adhere the chipboard clock pieces to the layout using Adhesive Dots Micro. Add the grad cap to the “grad” coin. Add the large ephemera pieces to the background using a combination of regular adhesive and foam tape. Mat your 5×7 photo  in white cardstock and adhere to the right hand side of the layout using foam tape. Add the coin to the left of the matted photo.

Add the laser cut ephemera pieces to the layout on either side of the matted photo using foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
