Heartfelt Creations: Floral Butterfly Card

Hello Heartfelt friends! Today I have a pretty, earthy toned 6×6 card to share created using the new Floral Butterfly Collection from Heartfelt Creations. Here are all of the details.

Floral Butterfly Paper

Large Floral Butterfly Cling Stamps

Celebrate Love Sentiments Cling Stamps

Large Floral Butterfly Die

Zig Clean Color Markers

Black Embossing Powder, Embossing Pad, Cardstock (Black, White), Watercolor Paper, Distress Oxide Ink (Aged Mahogany, Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Ground Espresso, Fossilized Amber), Archival Ink- Jet Black, Burlap String, Gems, Waterbrush, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (3D Foam Squares, Crafty Foam Tape, E-Z Runner Ultra), Water Mister

The card base is 6×6 in white cardstock. Cut a piece of black cardstock that is 5.75×5.75. Cut a piece of watercolor paper that is 6×6 and tear all the edges. Using Distress Oxide Inks, a water mister and a heat gun between layers add color to the watercolor paper. Pat the ink pad onto your craft mat, then mist with water and blot the watercolor paper into the watered down ink. Heat and dry between colors. Repeat until the whole piece is covered and you have the desired color combo.
Adhere the watercolor paper to the black cardstock and add burlap string around the bottom. Adhere to the card base.

Stamp the large butterfly using an embossing pad and black embossing powder. Add color to the butterfly using Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush.

Colors used: Mustard, Bright Yellow, Carmine Red, Mid Brown, Orange, Brown, Oatmeal

Die cut out the large butterfly and shape the wings slightly. Add to the middle of the card using foam squares, many layers under the wings for extra dimension.

Stamp the sentiment onto the small journal strip using black ink. Add to the card using foam squares and add gems to the sides of the block.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
