The So Suzy Stamps design team is having some fun this month “casing” some of our favourite cards. I chose to “case” my crafty friend Terri’s beautiful card.
I was inspired by Terri’s striking card layout and layered stamping at the top and bottom.
Sadly I did not have any foliage stamps. I created my layered design using the swirly bird bottoms, which I later lovingly referred to as “duck butts”.
Here are the So Suzy Stamps that I used:
Other Products Used:
Archival Ink- Jet Black, ColorBox Ink- Gingersnap, Memories Ink- Soft Grey, Stampin’ Up Ink- Soft Sky, CTMH Ink- New England Ivy, Stickles- Diamond, White Cardstock, Edge Distresser, E-Z Runner Ultra, Crafty Foam Tape
I used a combination of “duck butts” to create my layered design. I also wanted a slightly muted look, so each image I stamped off on my craft surface before stamping on my cardstock. Once all of my swirls were stamped, I used a blending tool to blend the edges.
I then added the fairy and sentiment using black ink. I matted the card front in white cardstock, which I with distressed edges. Then adhered that to the card base using crafty foam tape. I added Stickles to the top and bottom of the card for a little extra sparkle.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
