Creative Embellishments: March Challenge

Hello crafty friends! It’s March already, and that means Creative Embellishments has another fabulous challenge to share. This is the layout that I created based on the March Challenge, and here are all of the details.

This is the challenge image that my layout has been based on. The additional challenge with the sketch was to add stitches, or faux stitching to the project. I lucked into an ephemera piece that has faux stitching to add to my layout.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Ribbon Frames (2 sets)
Gorgeous Small Border Word Set
Lacy Border

Other Products Used:
DecoArt Paint- White, Foam Stencil Brush, Embossing Pad, Emerald Creek Crafts- Soft Fallen Snow Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Copper Embossing Powder, Prima- Poetic Rose Collection (patterned paper, ephemera, flowers, enamel dots), Paper Distresser, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (Crafty Foam Tape, E-Z Runner Ultra, Adhesive Dots Medium, Adhesive Dots Mini, 3D Foam Squares), Tag

I covered the small border word title using copper embossing powder. I covered the smaller pair of frames using white paint and a foam stencil brush. Then I covered the larger middle frame and the lacy border using Soft Fallen Snow embossing powder.

I created a simple layered background using distressed patterned paper. Then cut piece pieces of the blue patterned paper to fit in behind the smaller pair of frames. Then I trimmer my 4×6 photo to fit in behind the larger frame. Adhere the 2 smaller frames to the layout using foam tape. Then add the larger frame in the middle using multiple layers of foam tape.

Add a tag above the matted photos then the copper title.
Add flowers and die cuts around the frames. then add a few enamel dots for a little sparkle. The lacy border gets added below the matted photo and frames.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
